- is a children’s theater musical based on the true story of a group of orphaned wild animals who were rescued, raised as pets, and returned to the wild. It is also the story of the boy who cared for them and how he had to come to terms with their freedom.

All the characters are based on real animals the author knew and observed.
The original music for the show draws from a wide array of Americana, roots and blues influences. Almost all the tracks were recorded using real musicians playing real instruments, and the sound effects include old school acoustic noise makers in the style of the cartoons of the 40’s & 50’s, along with field recordings of birds, squirrels and other nature sounds.
The songs do not require singers with big voices or unusually large ranges.
